Is it true that as you get older your voice cannot go as high as it used to anymore?

For girls too? is this true for girls as well?

Like for singingIs it true that as you get older your voice cannot go as high as it used to anymore?
It depends. The voice must be maintained like any other muscle in your body. If you stop using it it goes out of shape. High range soprano singers are only partly born that way. Their voices are trained to sing in the high register. Obviously when you hit puberty your voices will change especially for guys.Is it true that as you get older your voice cannot go as high as it used to anymore?
i dont know but when i was a bit younger i sounded like my baby bro who is 6 years younger but now it sound normal, im 17 by the way. and what i notice is old women voices start to sound real croacky as if their a teenageboy you no so yeh our voices do probably change
No it not true cuz older women like 58-68 can still hit the high notes not as good as they could when younger but they can still hit them good
