Gods?? Is it really true that in its original language the bible uses the plural instead of the singular fo

I believe Every word in the bible. So guess how shocked I was when I found out in its original language the bible uses Elohim which is the plural of El. So does that means that every time you see God or Lord you have to substitute Gods or LordsGods?? Is it really true that in its original language the bible uses the plural instead of the singular fo
The original language it is YHWH. pronounced Yah way. Gods?? Is it really true that in its original language the bible uses the plural instead of the singular fo
Genesis 1:26 says, ';God said let US make man in OUR image.';...he wasn't talking about the angels and I doubt He/She would refer to Himself/Herself in the 3rd person, when the rest of the Bible holds numerous apparent words spoken by God, where the term is ';I';, not ';us'; or ';we';. If it was singular deity, wouldn't this deity have been more consistant, especially when it comes to a part of the Bible that is supposed to highlight how we were made? It was written in this fashion for a specific reason and the only mildly-educated interpretation is that this is significant. When I look around, I see a planet populated by both men and women...so if we are ALL made in the Creator's image, as the Bible clearly states, there must be some part that is distinctly feminine. In this, I firmly believe, which makes the Creator plural in my eyes.
Audball is right. Genesis says ';let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness'; because the trinity was present (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit). I think there are more verses like that in Genesis but I'm not quite sure where. Isaiah 6:8 also uses the plural elohim and a plural pronoun. ';Then I heard the voice of the LORD saying, ';Whom shall I send, and who will go for US.';

I used to have a classmate that was convinced we were created by aliens because of this. It confused me so I asked my preacher about it annnd the answer above is what he gave me.
It's refering to the 3-in-1 ';Godhead';...Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

EDIT: Thank you, acrosstheuniverse, for proving my point. I knew that it was in the Scripture, but didn't know the exactly where. (My mind has been so scrambled lately.) I haven't had the time to sit down, look it up, and post it on here. Again, thanks! =)
This is answering ur coment on ';are there any mermaids on here?';:

I am christian and i have read the Bible and i know all that stuff.

But its fun to believe. Even if theirs no record of its exsist. Maby God DID create mythycal creatures but did not tell man so each race could liv in harmony in their own worlds. Mabey He just wants us to find them for ourselfs. i hope i did not offend
